Clarinbridge is situated in South Galway on the main route from Galway to Limerick, at the mouth of the Clarin river and at the head of one of Galway Bay's most easterly inlets Dunbulcan Bay from which come the world famous Clarinbridge oysters. Here exists the perfect combination of natural elements required to produce the perfect oyster.

In bygone times the local benevolent landlords, the Redingtons of Kilcornan, were responsible for the development and original design of the village which has at it's heart a walled village green in which stands a monument to Thomas N. Redington. Clarinbridge is famous for it's sporting prowess and world renowned hospitality and our traditional village is centre focus for a thriving active community.
